The socket weld welding boss manufactured by Medisan is a forged steel fitting used to create a robust branch outlet by welding onto pipelines, tanks, or pressure vessels. The body of this boss is welded to the main structure (pipe or tank surface), while the outlet side offers a socket weld connection where the pipe is inserted. Manufactured in accordance with the ASME B16.11 standard, these parts provide high durability in Class 3000 and Class 6000 pressure classes.
Our products are manufactured from carbon steel (ASTM A105 / A105N), stainless steel (A182 F304 / F316), and alloy steel (A182 F11 / F22) materials. It is safely preferred especially in instrument connections and sampling lines where sealing is critical.
